The Giant Of Boston – Boston, Massachusetts
Created by the twin duo Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo, this mural was a temporary piece created as part of an exhibition for the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston. The Giant measures an impressive 70 square feet and it depicts a giant yellow figure seemingly squeezing himself in between buildings of the city.
Tuttomondo – Pisa, Italy
This colourful piece was designed by Keith Haring and it can be found on the side of the Church of Sant’Antonio Abate in Pisa. The name means ‘all world’ in Italian and the figures are interconnected to symbolise world peace and unity. It was the last public work created by Haring before he passed away in 1990 and it’s also one of the largest murals in Europe – measuring an impressive 180 square metres.
Balloon Girl – London, UK
Banksy is arguably the most famous graffiti artist of all time and ‘Balloon Girl’ is one of his most recognisable pieces. The image depicts a girl letting go of a heart-shaped balloon and it can be seen on everything from mugs, to postcards and tshirts. The original was located in London’s Shoreditch and the mural was removed (intact) in 2014. It sold for an impressive £500,000 and even a print of the image was sold for £56,250 in 2015.
